Technologies introduces the new ultra high-end glass loudspeaker THE POINT MKII EVOLUTION to the US market at the 2013 International CES®. The world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, the 2013 International CES, run January 8-11, with more than 2,500 exhibitors and 150,000 attendees from more than 150 countries.

Swedish company PERFECT8 Technologies, specialized in high-end glass loudspeakers, is premiering their point source dipole loudspeaker system THE POINT
MKII EVOLUTION. It has been re-designed using a brand new custom air motion
transducer optimized for dipole applications. The result is even higher resolution and micro detail resulting in stunning imaging and realism. THE POINT MKII EVOLUTION easily reaches beyond transparent into the organic region with composition, texture and emotion closely rivalling the original performance.
THE POINT MKII EVOLUTION feature a smaller subwoofer enclosure without any
sacrifice in low frequency response. The 10" drivers perfectly match the performance of the dipole panel with deep, extended, super tight and ultra controlled
bass. This is accomplished through record low mechanical losses, significantly
decreased distortion, increased excursion and ultra-stiff aluminium cones each
driven by an oversized 22 lbs magnet. The drivers are powered by state of the
art DSP controlled amplifier technology at 92% efficiency, almost invisibly integrated into the glass subwoofer enclosure.
All models in the PERFECT8 product range have been carefully designed with a "no compromise" philosophy, using a new technology platform with none of
the significant drawbacks of all traditional designs. The PERFECT8 loudspeakers
exhibit perfect motor control, zero energy storage, no internal vibrations or
cavity resonances, near-linear off-axis response, seamless bass/mid/trebleintegration, and close-to-perfect room interaction.

"This year’s Epiphany Award goes
to Perfect8 Technologies’ gorgeous, three-way, ribbon/ cone, glass-baffled floorstander The Point Mk II,
with separately glass-enclosed side-firing, active-DSP’d subs (one of
which wasn’t working, causing the
deep bass to thin down on my Blue
Tofu cut). Still and all, and in spite of
the defective subwoofer, The Points
disappeared more completely than
any other loudspeaker at this year’s
CES. There was absolutely no sense
of driver or box on any cut from
Andrea Matthews to Guitar Gabriel,
which, of course, makes The Point my
third contender for Best of Show"
